If you ever dreamed of a day where playing video games would help advance your education and pay for college, look no further – the day has come.
It is not coming for everyone (no scholarships do), but if you live in Illinois, you might be in luck.
According to the Chicago Tribune, a Chicago-based university, Robert Morris University, will extend athletic scholarships to students who play League of Legends. A move that might redefine how we look at sport and athleticism. Continue reading
Scott Brodie is reviving his abandoned project, Generation Heroes, and is looking for your support on Kickstarter.
If you have never heard of Scott Brodie before – don’t worry, not too many have. This indie game designer is responsible for a few casual games , while working for, and getting experience from, the likes of Microsoft.
Brodie’s resume, presumably, does not get you excited for Generation Heroes; what should get you excited, however, is Generation Heroes’ resume. And let me tell you, for a game that just started its fund search, the resume looks great
Ubisoft released a sneak=peak trailer of their upcoming game Assassin’s Creed Unity.
Authors promote the video suggesting it contains the in-game footage, however, it consists only of the cinematic, rendered, video. It would be great to see the game running in such high quality, but we will have to wait for future videos showing the actual gamepley of the new game of the Assasin’s Creed series.
How do you like the new game setting? What new features can players expect from AC:Unity? Comment and share what you think!
Everyone knows who Bill Gates is. Not everyone know who Magnus Carlsen is – a Norwegian chess grandmaster, who won his first title at the age of 13(!!!).
I am not a chess enthusiast, but seeing what Carlsen did to one of the most brilliant people of the few past decades is a feast to the eyes.
Those anticipating the new action/adventure game from Monolith Productions can now watch a new video containing gameplay footage from pre-alpha of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
The video takes us several hours into the game and focuses on the “nemesis system” – a feature developed for the game, allowing surviving enemies to remember previous encounters with the protagonist, making future encounters unique and personal.
Considering it’s a pre-alpha footage, the graphics look very fluid and the fighting system resembles the one seen in the Batman games – Arkham Asylum and Arkham CIty.
Game is taking place during the time between the events of “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings,” and as a fan of Tolkien’s works, I cannot wait to see how this release will turn out. The video definitely makes me hope for the best.
Do you think Shadow of Mordor has a chance of becoming a great title, or maybe will it end up just like other games based on Tolkien’s books?
After going “gold,” new GTA V materials were expected to see the daylight soon after. This morning Rockstar has released a brand, spanking, new trailer of their upcoming work.
Since the work on the new Grand Theft Auto has been finished, in this trailer developers decided to dig more into the main storyline and dilemmas facing our three characters. Also, it is always nice to see new in-game footage while we wait to put hands on our own copy.
Grand Theft Auto V will be released on the PS4 and Xbox 360 September 17, 2013.
